Max Hospital – MEPF BIM Modeling, Coordination & Shop Drawing Project

Project Overview

Project Name: Max Hospital
Location: India
LOD: 400
Software Used: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD

The Max Hospital project involved developing a detailed LOD 400 MEPF BIM model to support coordination, fabrication, and construction. The model integrated Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems, ensuring efficient coordination, reduced clashes, and smooth project execution throughout the construction process.

Scope of Work

Our team was responsible for delivering complete MEPF BIM services, including detailed modeling, interdisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and shop drawing production. The objective was to create a fully coordinated model that would facilitate smooth installation and reduce construction risks.

Key Scope Areas:

  • Mechanical (HVAC) Modeling
  • Electrical Modeling
  • Plumbing Modeling
  • Fire Protection Modeling
  • BIM Coordination & Clash Detection
  • Shop Drawing Preparation
  • Construction Documentation Support

The project required close collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure all systems were properly integrated within the available building spaces.

MEPF Modeling & Coordination

Using Revit, our team developed detailed LOD 400 models for all MEPF systems, including ductwork, chilled water piping, electrical containment systems, plumbing networks, and fire protection layouts. Every component was modeled with fabrication-level detail to support accurate installation and field execution.

Coordination was performed using Navisworks, where extensive clash detection sessions were conducted to identify and resolve conflicts between services, structural elements, and architectural components. Through multiple coordination cycles, the project team achieved a highly coordinated model that minimized construction issues and improved overall project efficiency.

Shop Drawings & Deliverables

Based on the coordinated BIM model, detailed shop drawings were generated to support fabrication and installation activities. These drawings provided contractors with accurate dimensions, routing information, equipment locations, and coordination details necessary for successful execution.

Deliverables Included:

  • LOD 400 Mechanical BIM Model
  • LOD 400 Electrical BIM Model
  • LOD 400 Plumbing BIM Model
  • LOD 400 Fire Protection BIM Model
  • Coordinated MEPF BIM Model
  • Fabrication & Installation Shop Drawings
  • Clash Detection Reports
  • Construction Documentation Support

These deliverables ensured clear communication between design teams, contractors, and site personnel.

Project Outcomes

The Max Hospital project successfully delivered a fully coordinated MEPF BIM model that improved constructability and installation efficiency. Early clash resolution significantly reduced the risk of on-site conflicts, helping avoid delays and costly rework during construction.

The detailed LOD 400 model and shop drawings enabled accurate fabrication, streamlined installation workflows, and enhanced collaboration among project stakeholders. The BIM-driven approach contributed to better project planning, improved quality control, and greater confidence during execution.

Conclusion

The Max Hospital project showcases our expertise in delivering advanced MEPF BIM Modeling, Coordination, and Shop Drawing Services for complex healthcare facilities. By leveraging Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, we developed a highly detailed LOD 400 model that supported coordination, fabrication, and construction readiness. The project highlights our ability to deliver accurate BIM solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risks, and support successful project delivery.
