B795 – Mechanical & Plumbing BIM Coordination Project
Project Overview
Project Name: B795
Location: Florida
LOD: 350
Software Used: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD
The B795 project involved comprehensive Mechanical and Plumbing BIM modeling with a strong focus on coordination accuracy and constructability. The objective was to deliver clash-free, fabrication-ready models and detailed shop drawings aligned with project execution requirements.
Scope of Work
The project scope included end-to-end Mechanical and Plumbing BIM services, from detailed 3D modeling to coordination and shop drawing production. Our responsibility was to ensure system accuracy, spatial coordination, and compliance with design intent while supporting efficient on-site installation.
Key Scope Areas:
- Mechanical (HVAC) Modeling
- Plumbing Modeling
- BIM Coordination with Other Trades
- Shop Drawings & Construction Documentation
BIM Execution & Coordination
We developed high-detail LOD 350 Mechanical and Plumbing models in Revit, covering ductwork, piping, equipment, and accessories. Special attention was given to routing efficiency, maintenance clearances, and constructability.
Using Navisworks, multiple coordination reviews were conducted to detect and resolve clashes between systems. This process helped eliminate conflicts early, improved collaboration among stakeholders, and minimized costly rework during construction.
Shop Drawings & Deliverables
Construction-ready shop drawings were prepared using AutoCAD and Revit outputs. These drawings clearly represented system layouts, elevations, sections, and coordination details required for fabrication and installation.
All drawings were aligned with site requirements, ensuring accurate execution, better understanding for field teams, and seamless coordination between contractors, engineers, and project managers.
Project Outcomes
The coordinated BIM approach resulted in a clash-free Mechanical and Plumbing model that improved installation accuracy and construction efficiency. Early clash resolution reduced on-site delays, optimized workflows, and enhanced overall project quality.
The detailed shop drawings supported smooth execution, reduced RFIs, and ensured the project stayed on schedule and within expected construction standards.
Conclusion
The B795 project highlights our capability to deliver reliable, high-quality Mechanical and Plumbing BIM solutions at LOD 350. Through precise modeling, effective coordination, and detailed documentation, we helped streamline construction processes and achieve successful project outcomes.
