Boiser – LOD 350 MEPF BIM Modeling & Coordination Project

Project Overview

Project Name: Boiser
Location: Germany
LOD: 350
Software Used: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD

The Boiser project involved the development of a comprehensive MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) BIM model to support coordination, design validation, and construction planning. Developed at LOD 350, the model provided a detailed and accurate representation of all building services, ensuring efficient coordination and installation readiness.

Scope of Work

Our team was responsible for delivering complete MEPF BIM modeling services, including the creation of coordinated service layouts and construction-ready documentation. The project required accurate modeling of interconnected systems while maintaining compliance with project standards and installation requirements.

Key Scope Areas:

  • Mechanical (HVAC) Modeling
  • Electrical Modeling
  • Plumbing Modeling
  • Fire Protection Modeling
  • BIM Coordination & Clash Detection
  • Construction Documentation Support

The scope focused on creating an integrated BIM environment that improved collaboration between disciplines and minimized coordination issues during construction.

BIM Modeling & Coordination

Using Revit, detailed MEPF models were developed, including ductwork, piping systems, cable trays, conduits, fire protection networks, equipment connections, and support elements. Each system was modeled with a high level of accuracy to ensure proper routing, accessibility, and constructability.

Navisworks was used to perform multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination reviews. Through multiple coordination cycles, potential conflicts between MEPF systems were identified and resolved before construction, reducing site issues and improving installation efficiency. This process enhanced project collaboration and streamlined decision-making among stakeholders.

Deliverables

The final deliverables provided a coordinated BIM model and supporting documentation that could be utilized throughout the construction process. Detailed outputs enabled contractors and project teams to execute installations with greater confidence and accuracy.

Deliverables Included:

  • LOD 350 Mechanical BIM Model
  • LOD 350 Electrical BIM Model
  • LOD 350 Plumbing BIM Model
  • LOD 350 Fire Protection BIM Model
  • Coordinated MEPF BIM Model
  • Construction Documentation Support
  • 3D Views and Coordination Outputs

These deliverables helped improve project visualization, planning, and field execution.

Project Outcomes

The Boiser project successfully delivered a coordinated MEPF BIM model that enhanced design accuracy and construction readiness. Early clash detection reduced the risk of on-site conflicts, helping save time and minimize costly rework during installation.

The integrated BIM workflow improved communication between project stakeholders, supported better planning, and increased overall construction efficiency. The coordinated model also provided valuable insights for installation sequencing and project execution.

Conclusion

The Boiser project showcases our expertise in delivering high-quality MEPF BIM Modeling and Coordination Services. By leveraging Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, we developed a detailed LOD 350 model that supported coordination, constructability, and successful project delivery. The project demonstrates our ability to create intelligent BIM solutions that help clients reduce risks, improve efficiency, and achieve better construction outcomes.
